The MN Food Association, a program of The Food Group, operates a farm education program in certified organic vegetable production for beginning and immigrant farmers. The CSA is packed with the highest quality local food purchased from farmers in the program.  Become a member of the CSA and you too can support farmers from 10 different cultures practicing sustainable agriculture and building a local food system in the community. Open cribbage games

‘Coffee with a Cop’ in Roseville

Join Roseville police officers for free coffee and conversation. The Roseville Police Department is hosting “Coffee with a Cop” on Saturday, April 7, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Roseville Lunds & Byerlys, 1601 County Road C. The event is an opportunity to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know the officers who help keep Roseville safe.


Roseville job, career and resource fair

The Roseville job, career and resource fair is Tuesday, April 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fairview Community Center, 1910 County Road B in Roseville. It’s a great opportunity for job seekers to connect with resources that can help them enhance their employment opportunities, learn new skills and build their resume. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet with employers that are hiring entry-level positions with opportunities for professional growth.

More than 60 businesses, non-profit agencies and other resources will be on hand to meet with potential employees. A list of businesses is available at www.growroseville.com/roseville/JobFair.


TED Talk discussions

TED Talks are pre-recorded, short videos of sometimes experts, sometimes average people talking about Technology, Education and Design. Every second Sunday of the month at the Roseville Library a TED Talk is viewed and discussed.

Next up on the schedule, on April 8 from 2 to 3:30 pm, is the TED Talk entitled “Our Story of Rape and Reconciliation.”

The series is co-sponsored by the Roseville Library and the Roseville Area Senior Program. The library is located at 2180 Hamline Ave. N.


New Brighton Eagles Auxiliary bake sale

The New Brighton Eagles Auxiliary will host a bake sale at The Eagles Club on Saturday, April 14 at 9 a.m. Proceeds go to a scholarship fund for Irondale and Mounds View high schools. The Eagles Club is located at 563 Old Highway 8 NW in New Brighton. For more information call 651-636-9525. 


Lions Club waffle breakfast

The North Suburban Evening Lions Club will be holding an “All The Waffles You Can Eat” breakfast on Sunday, April 15, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 at the Roseville Skating Center, 2661 Civic Center Drive in Roseville. Sausage, coffee, milk and orange juice are also included. There will also be a cake walk and raffle. The cost is free for ages 5 and under and $8 for ages 6 and over. Ticket proceeds go to community projects. Also, old eyeglasses and hearing aids and their used batteries can be brought to this event for donation.


Mental health support group 

A NAMI Connection peer support group for adults recovering from mental illness meets bi-weekly in Roseville. The free group is sponsored by NAMI Minnesota, a part of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Trained facilitators who are also in recovery lead NAMI Connection groups. The group meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, 6:30-8 p.m., at Centennial Methodist Church, 1524 County Road C2 W. in Roseville.
