St. Anthony Civic Orchestra spring concert

The St. Anthony Civic Orchestra Spring Concert will be at the St. Anthony Community Center on Sunday, March 4, starting at 3 p.m. The program is Johann Strauss II’s “Die Flederemaus Overture,” Charles Gounod’s “Ballet Music from Faust,” and Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 5.” The St. Anthony Community Center is located at 3301 Silver Lake Road NE in St. Anthony. Mounds View Sons of Norway

The Mounds View Sons of Norway will host the presentation “Teddy Roosevelt, the Wilderness Warrior” at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church on Monday, March 5, starting at 7 p.m. Award-winning Teddy Roosevelt lookalike and historian Adam Lindquist leads the first-person presentation on the story of U.S. national parks. Shoreview Community Garden Club

The Shoreview Community Garden Club will host the presentation “Grasses to Grace your Garden” at the Shoreview Community Center on Wednesday, March 7, starting at 7 p.m. Noerenberg Gardens and Three Rivers Park District horticultural supervisor Arla Carmichiel leads the presentation. Irondale High School choir concert

The Irondale High School Choir Department “Sprinter” Concert for spring/winter will be at Irondale High School on Tuesday, March 6, starting at 7:30 p.m. Free and open to the public, the concert features the varsity men’s and women’s choirs, the Knightingales Choir, Concert Choir and select honor ensembles. Pancake breakfast

The New Brighton Eagles Auxiliary will host a breakfast on Sunday, March 4, starting at 8 a.m. The price is $6 and the menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, fruit, orange juice, coffee, milk and a side of sausage, ham, eggs or toast. Girl Scout cookies at Goodwill

Snacking aficionados know that spring is cookie season. This year, Goodwill is partnering with Girl Scouts to bring cookie booths to its Roseville stores on Saturdays through March 17. When Goodwill hosts local nonprofits on site, it lets the store’s community-minded shoppers and donors do more good for more people. The Roseville Goodwill stores are located at 1627 County Road B and 2500 Cleveland Ave.


Lent fish fry dinners

The New Brighton Eagles will host fish fry dinners at The Eagles Club each Friday of Lent, now through March 30, starting at 5:30 p.m. The meal includes all-you-can-eat fish, a baked potato or hashbrowns, coleslaw and bread.
