Falcon Heights

Credit fraud

A 33-year-old woman told police Feb. 12 that her credit card had been charged multiple times since January without her knowledge to the tune of $1,900.


Dog on the run

Someone called the police just before 10 a.m. Feb. 9 to report a loose pit bull running down the street near the intersection of Cleveland and Larpenteur avenues.



Broken window

A 62-year-old woman told police Feb. 1 she went into the printing business in the 3300 block of Como Avenue and when she came back to her parked car, someone had smashed its back window. Nothing seemed to have been stolen.


DWI arrest

A 30-year-old Minneapolis man stopped Feb. 2 at Highway 280 and Larpenteur Avenue was booked at the Ramsey County Jail for gross misdemeanor second-degree DWI after blowing a .19 blood alcohol concentration. Due to previous DWI convictions, police started the paperwork for a forfeiture of his car.


Gas tank drill

A 52-year-old woman who lives at apartments in the 1600 block of Carl Street told police Feb. 1 that someone had drilled a hole in the gas tank of her car. The cost to fix the hole is unknown.


Little Canada

Busted by Craigslist?

Someone stole a $1,500 snowblower from an apartment building in the 2700 block of Rustic Place as reported Feb. 9. Deputies took down the blower’s serial number and not that much later, the snowblower turned up for sale in an online ad.


Busted wing?

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Little Canada Road the afternoon of Feb. 9 on a report of an injured bird, and then took the animal to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Roseville.


Lock the car

A 30-year-old woman told police Feb. 9 someone had entered her unlocked car and stolen $50 worth of CDs, hair ties, loose change and other random stuff, as the car was parked in the 400 block of Labore Road.


Mounds View

Accident with injuries

Officers responded to an accident with injuries at the intersection of Mounds View Boulevard and Woodale Drive Feb. 6 and cited a 20-year-old Blaine man who was involved with the crash for speeding/inattentive driving.



Police arrested a 61-year-old Blaine man Feb. 6 in the 4800 block of Old Highway 8 following a traffic stop for an outstanding warrant, fifth-degree possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a revoked license.


Caught in a stolen car

A couple of 36-year-olds, a Bloomington woman and a Maplewood man who were driving a stolen vehicle, were stopped in the 2200 block of Mounds View Boulevard Feb. 11 and arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle. Both were booked at the Ramsey County Jail — the man was also booked for possession of a dangerous weapon.


Domestic assault

Officers arrested a 29-year-old Ham Lake man Feb. 10 for fifth-degree domestic assault, as well as possession of hypodermic needles and a Ramsey County gross misdemeanor DWI warrant. He was booked at the Ramsey County Jail.



A driver identified as a 35-year-old St. Paul woman filled up with $61.75 worth of gasoline Feb. 9 at a gas station in the 2600 block of County Road I then left without paying, but officers caught up with her the same day and arrested and cited her for misdemeanor theft.


Stolen truck

Someone reported the theft of a blue 1999 Chevy Blazer from the 5000 block of Irondale Road Feb. 10.


Wrong place ...

An officer headed to the 2200 block of County Road H2 to investigate a sounding alarm the night of Feb. 9 and came upon a suspicious vehicle parked near the business where the alarm was going off. Inside the car was a teenage girl, who was arrested for possession of marijuana. Also inside the car was an 18-year-old Farmington woman, who was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.


New Brighton


A 23-year-old woman told police Feb. 13 that someone got into her car as it was parked in the 800 block of County Road D and stole her Garmin GPS, sunglasses and a black binder, altogether worth $150. She’s not sure if the car was locked, or not, since it wasn’t damaged.

A 31-year-old man told police someone stole his iPhone and wallet from a locker at the LA Fitness in the 1100 block of Silver Lake Road as reported Feb. 10.



Party at grandpa’s

A teenage girl and four men — two 18-year-olds from Shoreview and two 19-year-olds, from Mounds View and Blaine — got into one of the men’s grandparent’s homes in the 700 block of Woodland Drive the night of Feb. 10 intending to party. They set off the home’s burglar alarm, though, and as they tried to act cool and walk out of the place towards their cars, deputies arrived and searched them, finding half a bottle of whiskey and a good amount of marijuana. All five were arrested for burglary, possession of marijuana and underage possession of alcohol.


Stuck raccoon

Deputies headed to the 100 block of Jansa Drive Feb. 10 on a report of a raccoon stuck in a window well. They freed the animal.



Someone broke a passenger window on a 25-year-old woman’s car as it was parked in an underground garage in the 3400 block of Kent Street as reported Feb. 11 and stole her purse, a phone charger, black shoes, four coffee mugs worth $100 in total, the car title, insurance card and $20 cash.


St. Anthony


A 28-year-old Minneapolis man was stopped Jan. 29 at Silver Lake Road and 37th Avenue and booked at the Hennepin County Jail for gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI — he registered a .22 blood alcohol concentration. He was also cited for driving without a valid Minnesota driver’s license and for having no proof of insurance.


Living a lie

A St. Anthony business owner was contacted by a Texas man who said that a female employee at the business was using his Social Security number for her own tax purposes. The man offered proof of the fraud, and said he was having money withheld from him because of the fraud, related to his taxes. The business also checked the woman’s Minnesota state ID and found that it was a fake — the woman, a 31-year-old, was arrested and questioned, and eventually booked at the Hennepin County Jail for felony aggravated forgery and felony identity theft.


Public intoxication

Someone called the police Feb. 29 from the gas station in the 3800 block of Silver Lake Road to report a drunk man inside the store. Officers found the man at the store and called his father to come pick him up.
