New Brighton Eagles Auxiliary pancake breakfast

The New Brighton Eagles Auxiliary will host a pancake breakfast at The Eagles Club Feb. 4 starting at 8 a.m. Tickets are $6. The menu includes all you can eat pancakes and sausage or ham or eggs, toast, fruit, orange juice, coffee and milk. Side orders of eggs and hashbrowns are available for an extra charge. Shoreview Garden Club speaker

The Shoreview Garden Club will host speaker Gary Johnson from the University of Minnesota at the Shoreview Community Center Feb. 7 starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $3. Johnson will discuss urban forestry, which includes talk about trees and shrubs in designing multi-use landscapes. The Shoreview Community Center is located at 4580 Victoria St. N. in Shoreview. Sons of Norway film night

The Mounds View Sons of Norway will host a free film night open to the public at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church on Feb. 5 starting at 6:30 p.m. The film is “The King’s Choice,” which is based on a true story about three days in the life of the King of Norway during World War II. ‘The Borrowed Tomb’ musical

The Musical Ministry of St. Odilia Catholic Church is hosting the musical “The Borrowed Tomb” Feb. 9 starting at 7:30 p.m.; Feb. 10 starting at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and Feb 11 starting at 3:30 p.m. The musical takes audiences back to the time of Jesus. Gallery 96 watercolor demonstrations

The Gallery 96 Art Center will host a watercolor demonstration by Charlotte Laxen Feb. 3 starting at 1 p.m at at the Shoreview Library. It will also host a watercolor class taught by art therapist Anne Lawton on Feb. 10 starting at 10:30 a.m. Students of all levels are welcome. St. Anthony New Brighton Endowment Foundation fundraiser dinner

The St. Anthony New Brighton Endowment Foundation will host a fundraiser dinner Feb. 10 at Jax Cafe starting at 6 p.m. The fundraiser supports the SANBE annual fund and endowment and the St. Anthony-New Brighton School District. Dinner will be served with a salad and desert and the evening will feature a silent auction and a cash raffle. The Jax Cafe is located at 1928 University Ave, NE in Minneapolis. Volunteer driver trainings

Help At Your Door, a nonprofit serving seniors, is in need of volunteer drivers. Help provide the keys to independence by transporting seniors to appointments or errands using your car. A training session is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 15 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Help At Your Door offices, 1935 County Road B2, Suite 250, in Roseville.
