RAHS senior plays in all-star event

Levi Brown

The annual high school all-star football game has a new name, date and location. This year’s version featured Roseville Area High School senior Levi Brown.

The game, played Dec. 3 at U.S. Bank Stadium, is now known as the Minnesota Football Showcase. The South All-Stars pulled out a 15-7 victory over the North All-Stars.

Brown, playing for the North, finished the game with four tackles. Next fall, Brown is headed to South Dakota State University on a football scholarship.

Brown is the 12th all-star from Roseville and his participation gave the Raiders all-stars in back-to-back games for the first time since 2007 and 2008. Donivin Turner, a senior for Roseville in 2015, played in the 2016 game in June.

In addition to the 12 players, Roseville has twice had coaches in the all-star game. Current Roseville head coach Chris Simdorn was an assistant coach for the Metro team in 2006.
