Grandma Pohl’s Pumpkin Squares

Ingredients:

Bottom:

1 pkg. (18.25 oz) yellow cake mix – reserve 1 C. dry cake mix

1/2 cup butter, melted

1 egg

Filling:

1 (30 oz.) can pumpkin pie mix

2 large eggs

2/3 cup milk

Topping:

1 cup. reserved dry cake mix

1/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup fi rm butter

1 teaspoon cinnamon

 

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350° F.

Blend “bottom” ingredients and pat into bottom of 9x13 baking pan.

Mix “filling” ingredients and pour over bottom.

Mix “topping” ingredients and spoon over top of filling.

Bake 1 hour.

Serve with vanilla ice cream or Cool Whip.
