Cornflake Candy

4 cups cornflakes

1 cup shredded coconut

1 cup chopped pecans

1 cup sugar

1 cup white syrup

1/2 cup whipping cream

Mix cornflakes, coconut and pecans in a large glass or metal bowl.

Cook sugar, syrup and cream to softball stage (235 degrees F) in a saucepan. Pour the hot mixture over the mixed cornflakes, coconut and pecans. Mix to coat evenly.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. Alternatively, press the mixture into a 9 x 9-inch pan and cool before cutting into small squares.
