Todd Russ accepts top position at Saint Croix Lutheran

Todd Russ, 45, current academic dean of St. Croix Lutheran, has accepted the position of president at St. Croix Lutheran. Russ will begin his service as the fifth president of the school July 1, 2015.

Russ has been an educator for 24 years and has served at St. Croix Lutheran since 2007 when he was charged with the task of conducting a middle school feasibility study. Based on his research, the middle school was opened in 2009, and he served as its director until 2011 when he moved into his current position as the dean of academics for grades 6 to 12. Russ also serves as an instructor and the head baseball coach at St. Croix Lutheran. He holds a Master of Educational Leadership Degree (Concordia University, 2009) and Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum Instruction and Professional Development (Walden University, 2014).

Russ will replace Dr. Gene Pfeifer who accepted the position of president of Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato in March.
