A man riding a bike without headlights the night of Oct. 26 was pulled over by police in the 1900 block of Arona Street. The “uncooperative” 24-year-old resisted officers and was charged with obstructing the legal process.

Felony theft
A car thief switched the license plates on a stolen vehicle, hoping that would keep him from getting caught. That didn’t work and the 31-year-old man was pulled over Oct. 21 in the 1800 block of Larpenteur Avenue and arrested for motor vehicle theft and possession of a whole bunch of credit cards in various names. He was booked at the Ramsey County Jail.

A man waiting for a bus at Snelling and Larpenteur avenues was held up at gunpoint shortly after 9 p.m. Oct. 26. The gunman made off with the 41-year-old’s cell phone valued at $200. No suspects.

Little Canada

A deputy shined a spotlight on the driver of a vehicle stopped in the middle of Big Circle Drive just before midnight on Halloween, to see if she needed assistance.
What she needed was to sober up. After testing .13 percent BAC, the 45-year-old Little Canada woman was booked at the jail on charges of DWI and driving after license revocation.

Felony assault
A 23-year-old Richfield man was found outside an all-night restaurant in the 2500 block of Rice Street about 3 a.m. Nov. 2 with severe stab wounds. The victim told deputies he had been “jumped” by four men and stabbed in the face. “His nose was nearly cut off,” an investigator said. No witnesses to the attack have been found.
